Available in a comprehensive range of glass specifications — including both Class 1 and Class 2 (BS EN 12600)— alongside a choice of frame finishes, each rooflight is designed to meet demanding architectural briefs and Part L requirements. Insulated upstands are also manufactured in-house to ensure quality, consistency, and seamless integration across the system.

Certified Thermal Performance — Approved Document L Compliant

The EOS97 fixed rooflight achieves independently certified U-values of 0.94 W/m²K (double-glazed) and 0.65 W/m²K (triple-glazed) when supplied with our 97mm insulated upstand — making it one of the most thermally efficient fixed rooflight systems available from a UK manufacturer.

For installations onto builder’s kerbs, the lid-only configuration achieves 1.15 W/m²K (double-glazed) or 0.87 W/m²K (triple-glazed). Full performance certificates are available to download for inclusion in specification documents and building control submissions.

EOS97 fixed rooflights are delivered as factory-glazed, complete units — with frame and glass fully assembled — to minimise on-site handling and reduce programme risk. Insulated upstands are manufactured in-house by EOS and can be supplied alongside the rooflight, ensuring a guaranteed fit, reliable weather performance, and the correct roof pitch.

Glass Specification Options

We offer a variety of glass options, each designed to meet different needs and preferences. Here are the two core choices:

Standard Toughened Glass: Heat Soak Tested Toughened Glass: All outer panes undergo heat soak testing as standard — a process that identifies and eliminates internal nickel sulphide inclusions that can cause spontaneous breakage. This is not an optional upgrade; it is the EOS baseline.

Safety Laminate Glass:The inner pane is laminated as standard, consisting of two glass layers bonded with a polyvinyl butyral (PVB) interlayer. In the event of breakage, the interlayer retains glass fragments — satisfying the safety requirements of BS EN 14449 and supporting compliance with Part K of the Building Regulations.

Performance Upgrades

All EOS97 fixed rooflights can be upgraded to meet specific project performance targets:

• Solar control glass — reduces solar heat gain (g-value from 0.27) while maintaining high visible light transmission
• Triple glazing — upgrades the system U-value to 0.65 W/m²K
• Ritec ClearShield — a permanent glass surface treatment that reduces cleaning frequency on hard-to-access installations
