The EOS97 electric opening rooflight is a bespoke-manufactured ventilation system suited to residential extensions, commercial fit-outs and new-build projects of any scale. Available in structural sizes from 650mm up to 4,000mm, with a custom-made insulated upstand and concealed 24V WindowMaster motors as standard.
Where a project specification includes both fixed and opening units, the EOS97 ensures identical external and internal sight lines across the range — a significant advantage compared to alternative systems.
Certified Thermal Performance — Exceeding Approved Document L
The EOS97 opening rooflight achieves independently certified U-values of 1.22 W/m²K (double-glazed) and 0.88 W/m²K (triple-glazed with 97mm insulated upstand) — surpassing the energy performance requirements set out in Approved Document L. Safe, Secure, and Robust
Each EOS97 opening rooflight is glazed with a heat soak tested toughened outer pane and a laminated inner pane as standard — satisfying BS 6206 impact safety requirements and supporting compliance with Part K.
Heat soak testing eliminates nickel sulphide inclusions that cause spontaneous glass breakage — a critical consideration for overhead glazing installations. The laminated inner pane retains glass in the event of breakage, preventing fragments from falling into the space below.
For commercial applications or projects subject to enhanced security requirements, the outer pane can be upgraded to impact-resistant glazing meeting CWCT Class 1.
Integrated Upstand — Specification Advantages
Minimise your upstand height
The EOS97 motor assembly is fully integrated within the insulated upstand — eliminating the additional aluminium motor housing required by most competing systems. This reduces the overall installation height by approximately 100mm, enables identical sight lines between fixed and opening units, and removes a significant cold bridge from the assembly. The result is a cleaner architectural finish and a measurably better thermal performance than externally motored alternatives.

Already built your upstand?
The EOS97 opening rooflight is available in a lid-only configuration with fully welded external aluminium cladding for installation onto a contractor-built kerb. The system retains the identical internal frameless finish and thermally broken aluminium frame specification as the integrated upstand version.
