Maximising daylight and volume — designed for the project brief

The EOS aluminium roof lantern is designed to maximise daylighting and perceived volume in any space below — from residential kitchen extensions to commercial atrium applications. A slimline thermally broken aluminium frame minimises the visible structure, maximising the glazed aperture and the quality of light entering the space.

Available in standard sizes for fast programme delivery or manufactured to any bespoke dimension up to 6,000mm × 2,400mm. Optional integrated LED lighting is available for projects where supplementary illumination is required.

High performance where traditional designs fall short

Traditional timber and uPVC lanterns present well-documented specification risks: poor air and watertightness, thermal bridging at glazing bar junctions, and structural limitations on size. The EOS aluminium lantern addresses each of these: thermally broken aluminium construction, 28mm high-performance glazing, and a drainage geometry that channels water away from all junctions. All units are tested to EN 12207 (air permeability) and EN 12208 (watertightness).

Flush Opening Vent — Ventilation Without Compromise

The EOS flush opening vent is an electrically operated ventilation module that integrates within the lantern frame — closing flush with the fixed glazing when not in use. For projects where Approved Document F ventilation requirements must be satisfied through the roof lantern, the opening vent can be sized and positioned to meet calculated opening area targets.

The vent is manufactured from thermally broken aluminium and maintains a consistent external sight line with the non-opening panes — no projecting frame, no visual interruption to the lantern profile.

Thermal and Safety Glazing Specification

All EOS roof lanterns are glazed with 28mm high-performance units as standard — delivering strong thermal performance and satisfying the requirements of Approved Document L for roof glazing elements. The internal tie bar is eliminated from the design, providing an unobstructed internal view.

Frame Colour Specification

EOS roof lanterns are available in three standard RAL colours — anthracite grey (RAL7016), black (RAL9005) and white (RAL9010) — with separate internal and external colour options available for any bespoke order. Any RAL powder-coat colour can be specified for projects where the design requires a specific finish, including colour-matched to adjacent glazing systems.
